Cherie Ohrabka, AuD, is dedicated to empowering individuals with hearing differences and communication barriers. She earned her Clinical Doctorate in Pediatric Audiology from the University of Florida and brings 26 years of experience in the educational setting, working as both a District Audiologist and a Speech Language Communication Specialist.
Her expertise centers on early language acquisition, the development of functional communication systems, and enhancing spoken language skills. A passionate advocate for ongoing education and research, Dr. Ohrabka is committed to advancing knowledge in speech, language, hearing, and communication technology. She has repeatedly earned the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s ACE Award for Continuing Education Excellence.
Dr. Ohrabka serves her community as a liaison, facilitating communication between deaf families and the local medical and health agencies they rely on. She actively collaborates with Special Olympics and the Houston area’s Be An Angel Organization, supporting students and families at events throughout the year. She has also held leadership roles, including serving as Vice President of the International Educational Audiology Association.
Through her work, Dr. Ohrabka remains committed to fostering communication support, any way she can.
